The ONE Ultra COVID-19 Fund donated $1,000 to help VisionCorps pay additional staffing costs in order to supply quality masks to local and federal government agencies and the public when they were in short supply during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To utilize extra sewing machine capacity, VisionCorps employed additional sewing machine operators in order to start producing non-surgical masks. They were already providing masks to PA-state-run organizations and needed to start getting ready to produce these masks for the federal government. They were also preparing to sell packs of 50 masks to the public online.
The efforts of VisionCorps provided much-needed (and difficult to procure) face masks while supporting the vision-impaired population with additional jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
VisionCorps is a non-profit organization headquartered in Lancaster, PA, US. They serve 2,000 individuals who are blind, or vision impaired through free rehabilitation services and/or paid employment opportunities.
