The ONE Ultra COVID-19 Fund made a $5,000 donation to assist Passages Inc. in re-opening its Creative Learning Center in May 2020 following its shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds were used for safe start protocols including social distancing fixtures, disinfecting, and training staff.
Passages Inc. is a non-profit local center dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities or other challenges thrive in the community at work, at home, and at play. The organization was established in the 1950's and routinely serves up to 200 individuals in the community local to Ultra’s Columbia City site in Indiana, US.
The Creative Learning Center offers job coaching and employment advocacy services, as well as academic programming opportunities enabling people to expand functional reading, writing, and mathematics skills. Ultra has historically contributed to this organization’s fund-raising activities and plans to remain a valued community sponsor into the future. The team in Columbia City currently employ clients from the Passages Inc. organization and continue to try and find opportunities for others.
