More than 5 million people have fled Ukraine and another 7 million have left their homes to escape the conflict, leading to a huge humanitarian crisis.
Through our Positive Force goals and with our employees support, we set about doing what we could to Give Back and help those affected by the Ukraine crisis. This has included food, clothes, medical supplies and toiletries collections conducted locally, across our OBUs. The setup of an Ultra Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) JustGiving page has complimented these efforts, providing accessibility for all across the Group to donate.
As of 30 April, Ultra raised £16,946, US$22,707 which was matched by our CSR committee, making a total donation of £33,892, US$45,414.
DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance. Our thoughts are with those affected and especially those colleagues who have family and personal ties to the region.
